Following the success of summer camps, Highlands Sports Complex prepares for fall programming to begin in September

[Triadelphia, WV] September 13, 2021 – Highlands Sports Complex has released its full schedule of fall 2021 programming. With most programs beginning in September, this season’s programming will include youth activities and adult recreational leagues. This marks the second season of fall programming at HSC, which opened in Triadelphia, WV, last year to bolster the local economy and expand recreation options for the regional community.

General Manager Harvey Greenidge expressed his excitement about the level of community involvement this fall. “We are excited to launch our fall programing at Highlands Sports Complex. It will be great to see all of our coaches providing quality sports instructions to the boys and girls of the Ohio Valley and neighboring counties.”

The benefits of participating in sports and recreation are undeniable:

  • Physically active communities have 18% lower rates of high blood pressure
  • 95% of Fortune 500 executives participated in youth sports
  • 58% of adults who play sports report reduced stress, 51% report better overall health

Youth programming this fall will focus on specialty training in soccer, basketball, baseball, and volleyball. Youth basketball will start the season programing and a high school basketball league for competitive teams will debut mid-September. Youth baseball programs are available for ages 6-12 where players will learn the basic fundamentals including: hitting, fielding, throwing, and base running. HSC will be partnering with Ohio Valley Volleyball Academy for volleyball youth development. Youth soccer will have a mixture of skill development sessions/practice and small sided game play each week.

Adult recreational leagues will include flag football, basketball, and volleyball. Players can register as individuals or as a team.
