Wheeling’s Indoor Pickleball Destination

Not only is it the fast-growing game in the US currently, but also is growing in recreation and tournament play.

Good news, we will get you acquainted with this trending sport.

Highlands Sports Complex offers the ideal location for your next pickleball tournament, game, and league.

Our fieldhouse features four permanently lined indoor pickleball courts. We also have pickleball nets, paddles, and balls for use upon request.

Rentals are planned in advance and recommended if wanting to play for multiple hours with a larger group.

They are available for rent on select evening and weekend dates, subject to court availability.

Courts will not be available for rental during posted “Open Play” hours.

Typical Open play hours are offered Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Fridays from 9:30am – 2:30pm. Evening Open play is typically offered on Tuesday Evenings 5:30pm – 8:00pm.

Open Play hours are subject to change.

Pickleball is a paddle sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong.

Pickleball is designed for all ages and can be played with as few as two people. Pickleball has grown in popularity over the years because it’s easy to learn rules and quick turnaround for proficiency. But don’t think this is just your grandma’s sport. Pickleball can be fast-paced and competitive.

Pickleball (sometimes called Pickle Ball) was first played in 1965 and has developed into one of the more popular recreational sports. The game can be played with singles or doubles – often intergender teams or leagues. The rules are easy to learn and can be found on the official Pickleball website.

If you are learning about pickleball for the first time, there is no better way to learn the game than to come visit and try out the game for yourself. Highlands Sports Complex is your premier location for pickleball in the Ohio Valley (Wheeling-Steubenville area).

Our indoor sports facility has four permanently lined indoor pickleball courts – and we can even house up to 18 courts. There is not a better location for a pickleball tournament or league than right here at HSC.

Even though we know pickleball could be for everyone, we also understand that not everyone wants to play while visiting. Highlands Sports Complex has activities for everyone in the family. While the parents battle the teenagers in a pickleball game, the grandparents can take the children to the play climb area, batting cages, or indoor turf. When everyone finishes up, dine at our cafe.
